Schools earning accreditation from the JRCERT have gone through a rigorous assessment of their teachers and course materials. If the program is online it might also obtain accreditation from the Distance Education and Training Council, which focuses on distance or online education. All accrediting organizations should be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation. Besides guaranteeing a premium education, accreditation will also help in obtaining financial assistance and student loans, which are many times not accessible for non-accredited schools. Accreditation can also be a pre-requisite for certification and licensing as required. And numerous Argonia KS employers will only hire a graduate of an accredited college for entry level openings.

Are Internship Programs Sponsored? Inquire if the radiology technician schools you are reviewing have partnerships with local clinics or hospitals for internship programs. It also substantiates that their graduates are highly regarded and in demand.

Where is the Program Located? For many students, the college they choose will need to be within driving distance of their Argonia KS home. Those who have opted to attend online classes naturally will not have to worry themselves with the location of the campus. However, the availability of area internships will be of importance. One thing to consider is that if you choose to enroll in a school that is out of state or even out of your local area, you may have to pay a higher tuition. State colleges usually charge higher tuitions for out of state residents. And community colleges typically charge a higher tuition to those students that don’t reside within their districts.

What are the Class Sizes ? Unless you are the type of student that prefers to sit way in the back of class or get lost in the crowd, you will likely prefer a small class size. Smaller classes allow for more individual participation and one-on-one instruction. Ask the Argonia KS colleges you are reviewing what the average student to teacher ratio is for their classrooms. If practical you may want to sit in on one or more classes before making your final decision. This will also give you an opportunity to talk with a few of the students and instructors to get their perspectives regarding the radiology tech program as well.

This is especially essential if you choose to continue working while attending classes. If you must schedule evening or weekend classes in the Argonia KS area, make certain that they are offered.
