Well, you should check out if the schools are accredited, and if they provide internship or externship programs. Are the X-Ray Technician Schools Accredited? A large number of xray technician schools have acquired some form of accreditation, whether national or regional. However, it’s still crucial to verify that the program and school are accredited. Among the most highly regarded accrediting agencies in the field of radiology is the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Schools earning accreditation from the JRCERT have gone through a detailed examination of their teachers and educational materials. If the college is online it may also receive accreditation from the Distance Education and Training Council, which targets online or distance learning. All accrediting agencies should be acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation. Along with guaranteeing a quality education, accreditation will also assist in getting financial aid and student loans, which are many times not available for non-accredited programs. Accreditation can also be a pre-requisite for certification and licensing as required. And numerous Moorpark CA employers will only hire graduates of an accredited college for entry-level jobs.

Are Internship Programs Sponsored? Find out if the radiology tech colleges you are interested in have partnerships with area hospitals or clinics for internship programs. It also substantiates that their students are highly regarded and sought after.

Where is the Program Located? For a number of students, the college they choose will have to be within commuting distance of their Moorpark CA residence. Individuals who have opted to attend online classes naturally will not have to concern themselves with the location of the campus. However, the availability of area internships will be of importance. One thing to consider is that if you choose to enroll in a college that is out of state or even out of your local area, you might have to pay a higher tuition. State colleges often charge higher tuitions for out of state residents. And community colleges generally charge a higher tuition to those students that don’t reside within their districts.

How Large are the Classes ? Unless you are the kind of person that likes to sit far in the back of class or get lost in the crowd, you will likely prefer a small class size. Small classes allow for more individual participation and one-on-one instruction. Ask the Moorpark CA colleges you are researching what the typical student to teacher ratio is for their classes. If practical you may want to sit in on one or more classes before making your final determination. This will also give you a chance to converse with some of the students and instructors to get their opinions regarding the xray tech program also.

Can the College Accommodate your Schedule? And last you must confirm that the radiographer  college you ultimately select can furnish the class schedule you need. This is particularly crucial if you decide to continue working while attending classes. If you must schedule evening or weekend classes in the Moorpark CA area, confirm that they are offered. Moorpark, California

Moorpark is a city in Ventura County in Southern California. Moorpark was founded in 1900 following approval of the application for the Moorpark Post Office. As of 2006, Moorpark was one of the fastest-growing cities in Ventura County.[12] The town grew from just over 4,000 citizens in 1980 to over 25,000 citizens by 1990. The population was 34,421 at the 2010 census, up from 31,415 at the 2000 census.

The origin of the name "Moorpark" is unknown, but most sources agree that the town was named after the Moorpark apricot, which used to grow in the area (hence the apricot flower on the town's seal and flag).[13] The apricot, in turn, was named for Admiral Lord Anson's estate Moor Park in Hertfordshire, England, where he introduced the apricot in 1688.[14][15][16]

One other theory of the name is that, when the Southern Pacific Railroad was surveying the local land in the 19th century for its railway, someone in the party said that the area, with its sloping hills, looked like the Scottish Moors, hence the name Moorpark.[citation needed]
