    Urbandale, Iowa

    Urbandale is a city in Polk County and Dallas County, Iowa, United States. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city population was 39,463. It is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The coal mines had closed by the end of the 1940s while streetcar service ended in 1951.
