    McGuffey, Ohio

    McGuffey was laid out in 1890, and named for John McGuffey.[6] John McGuffey had donated land for a railroad depot in exchange for the naming rights.[7] A post office called McGuffey has been in operation since 1883.[8] The village was incorporated in 1896.[6]

The racial makeup of the village was 96.6% White, 0.6% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.4% Asian, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.2% of the population.
